How do you go from 6-10 EUR/meter aluminium extrusion bars to a 300-EUR RUWI MFT undercarriage that is made of nothing but those bars? Same for a piece of MDF that apparently costs like 200 bucks to CNC some holes into. Do normal people actually buy this stuff, or does that company merely throw massive parties at industry conventions to generate B2B sales?

I believe you should still be able to direct trustd requests to nowhere, by editing /etc/hosts.

@htimsxela As a community, we can at least try to add one over-the-top-uncompliant tx to every block. 🤡

Imagine, people complaining that there aren't any jobs for young people, and that the EU must invest taxpayer money to help the local economy.

Uhm, no. People here need to fucking reply to emails, when someone wants to buy thousands of EURs worth of goods from them. I have had businesses ignore my requests and orders as a *default* situation, not as an exception. Still trying to buy wood for example, for about 5 months now.

The one thing that shocked me the most about the bad business practices in Italy, was how even Amazon here just doesn't give a flying fuck. The difference is stark.

Due to being in an "orange zone" now, I'm not able to ride my bike outside the town's borders. So I ordered a smart trainer to use with my bike on Amazon, and the seller cancelled it after 4 days wait, with no comment. So I tried again yesterday, and the new seller also cancelled the order today, with no comment. All the money is now tied up at Amazon (those things ain't cheap), because that's how this shitty legacy payment system works.

Whoever just reported this toot to our instance mods as "covid disinformation", will you back up your allegation with facts? I guess not, because if you had any, you would've replied instead of reported.

> The authors found no correlation whatsoever between severity of lockdown and number of covid deaths. And they didn’t find any correlation between border closures and covid deaths either. And there was no correlation between mass testing and covid deaths either, for that matter. Basically, nothing that various world governments have done to combat covid seems to have had any effect whatsoever on the number of deaths.

Of course the consultant is going to cost 20K EUR/month if his job is to make Ursula von der Leyen look good. That's a hell of a job, with her incredible corruption producing potential scandals on a near-monthly basis. I mean, hats off to the evil bastard who's able to spin that kind of person as a good leader.

Ironically, the hiring itself is so corrupt that his first job will be to deflect from his own hiring.

There's still no rule about the types of masks allowed in public if they do the job (I.E. not useless like a mesh), so it's entirely feasible for AI defeating anti-facial-recognition patterns to be incorporated

This pattern is called HyperFace and instead of "hiding" a face, it's designed to flood the Viola-Jones Haar Cascade algorithm by creating numerous hits

Masks made from material with this or similar prints are already widespread and they're part of the ideal urban camouflage kit

Ordered a delivery from the supermarket via WhatsApp, because that's how online business works on Sicily in 2020.

People put announcements in their business number's avatar photo, and special offers in WhatsApp status updates. And if you're not on WhatsApp, it's the same as being offline in regards to getting things done.
