On the early-morning ferry to Ustica. A couple of house mates are checking out the scuba diving, since it's supposed to be one of the best spots around Sicily.

Ustica was nice. Did a hike to the other end of the island on a very pretty trail along the coast. Then dipped into a natural pool between some cliffs.
Unfortunately, the way back was more difficult than it should have been. The hourly public bus just didn't appear at all for 2.5 hours after we saw one leaving, and the only taxi on the island was randomly out of service. So despite a cushion of 3.5 hours to get back to the last ferry of the day, we barely got on, last minute before it left.
