Let's play a game: Find the pandemic in this graph, which depicts numbers for acute respiratory diseases, incl. Influenza (which has a similar lethality to COVID-19), in Germany.
(Data is from the RKI, which is the official source for government decisions: https://grippeweb.rki.de)
@erm67 Missing the point. Influenza still kills.
@erm67 The second graph on the website depicts only the "flu-like illnesses", but the ARE in graph 1 includes all acute respiratory diseases. The second graph would still yield a similar result, in that there's no pandemic that reaches regular flu and influenza infections in overall numbers. Incidentally, that's the reason that there's basically no overall excess mortality recorded for the year of 2020 so far, in almost all countries.
@erm67 I'm not "talking" anything. My language was precise and clear. ARE is all acute respiratory diseases, as counted by that long-term survey. If you're trying to make a point, then make it.
