The stargazing last night was pretty amazing. Got a crash course in orienting oneself on the night sky, and enjoying a lot of cool objects with only a pair of cheap binoculars. Then compared that to looking at things with a proper telescope under a dome.

That dome was funny, too. The dude had to rotate it manually, accompanied by loud creaking and audible exhaustion, for the opening to be in the right place, when changing position. But they plan to invest in motorizing it with the fees from this year's visitors.
