Booked a stargazing session at the Observatorio on this mountain tonight. People say the Canarian night sky is one of the clearest in the world,. so this should be pretty good.
The Trade Wind breezes and the temperature inversion they generate prevent clouds from forming over the Canary Islands. This is why the skies in the Canaries are amongst the clearest in Europe and are legally protected by the Law of Protección de la Calidad Astronómica de los Observatorios. This prevents light, atmospheric and radio wave pollution and controls flight patterns to prevent any interference with stargazing." -- https://www.hellocanaryislands.com/starriest-skies/
@raucao It was in Lanzarote where I first saw a moon ring (I was maybe 9 years old). Those islands are beautiful :)
@raucao "observatorio" only encourages people who think they can speak spanish by adding -io to nouns and verbs. :)
